BRONX FAMILY SUPPORT

ADVISORY COUNCIL

The Bronx Family Support Advisory Council is made up of family members of developmentally disabled individuals and self-advocates (persons with developmental disabilities).  Members of the Council also serve as representatives of all persons with developmental disabilities and their families in the Bronx.

Council members are involved as follows:

1) conduct agency site visits

2) evaluate family support services

3) develop family reimbursement guidelines

4) participate in writing of annual priorities for family support

5) review request for proposals and participate in the selection of programs to be funded.

Please join the Metro New York  Bronx Family Support Advisory Council and make a difference in the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities.

 ”Persons with developmental disabilities and their families can best determine the services they need and how these services should be provided.”The Bronx Family Support Advisory Council meets every 2nd Monday of each month from 10a.m. to 12p.m.
